Climate Change
information regarding Washington Conservation Voters work on climate change solutions

Global warming and the next 50 years of its impact on our lives demands more than just business as usual. Global warming crosses into all issues, public health, forestry, water, wildlife and more.We have to elevate it, not just in the legislative session but across all aspects of the political cycle.
In 2008, we have an opportunity like never before to move our issues to the top of the political agenda. Global warming and clean energy are making headlines and are a big part of the presidential debates already. We can make those issues key in Washington state and show the power of environmental voters. From the race for governor to local city councils, we can demonstrate that voters in Washington want elected officials who care about the health and future of our state.
Washington Conservation Voters is working with community partners including Climate Solutions and Washington Environmental Council to advance strong solutions to global warming. This legislative session, two of the four Priorities are related to this pressing issue: Climate Action & Green Jobs and Local Solutions to Global Warming.
