Representative Rolfes ran on environmental issues, and in Olympia she helped lead the passage of the Puget Sound Partnership Priority in 2007 and played an instrumental role in the Climate Action and Green Jobs, Evergreen Cities, and Local Farms–Healthy Kids Priorities in 2008. She is clearly one of the rising stars in the state House. Representative Rolfes was a freshman legislator in 2007-2008 after defeating an
incumbent who was out of step with the district. Since heading to
Olympia, Rolfes has made environmental issues a top priority. In
particular, she has demonstrated that she can be counted on as a leader
on Puget Sound clean-up issues.

"Environmental issues are a huge concern for me, both in voting and in daily life, because I know we need a major change." - Nancy Larsen
